Mother day and father day are just over-commercialise activities for restaurant to make money. Don't pretend that by buying a meal for them means you are filial. It's all hypocrisy. More meaningful would be remembering their birthday and cook them a meal if possible. Better still cook for them at least once a week.

For seniors certainly not worth while to eat buffets.
They generally cannot eat alot.
Should use the money for ala carte meals.

Base on my own experience, home is seniors most comfort zone.
Ask your parents what they prefer first.
I've seen children insist on bringing elderly parents for holidays, or cruise...
That may not be what they want.

Actually I didn't know they only had buffet. I just want to order beef brisket because my mom try before and theirs is among the best.
But already go all the way there just settle on tye buffet.

No she just enjoy good cook be it western or Chinese.
Also today I had no time to sous vide otherwise no restaurant can beat me.
Anyway I am not anti establishment. I prefer to let a good govt alone to do its work but that is not the case here.
