Last thing LKY wanted was people milking his legacy. ..naming buildings after him and putting his face on coins etc
Instead of all this symbolism his values are what is important and the.current leaders just don't have it .

Many old coins and notes do not have much resale value. Seen many of these shops closed down because no business.

Few months ago went to this Sing M shop. Overheard the staff there mocking a caller who wanted to sell those old coins. They seems not interested in them.

Tell you my experience. Once went to market to buy something. Took some coins from my wallet to pay a foreign worker who was manning the stall. The seller returned me all those old coins.
