SINGAPORE: The mother of a young man who raped his younger sister was charged in court on Monday (Oct 25) with knowingly permitting the ill treatment of a child and omitting information about a criminal offence.
The 43-year-old woman cannot be named due to gag orders protecting the victim.
The accused's son was sentenced to 11-and-a-half years' jail and seven strokes of the cane in January 2020 for raping his sister, and molesting her when she was a minor.

The woman's daughter was 12 years old when her brother, then 20, raped her in 2017.

Under aged kids, guardians responsible. And for sure she is at fault if she knows it and still allows it.

As a mother she should know that siblings having sex is taboo..... I hope the incident, that the mother did not watch the siblings engaged in sex, cos the mother should know that incest is taboo and not tolerated here....

According to the report, for not reporting the matter and for letting the son continue sexually abuse the daughter for 2 months.
