Ukraine counter offensives have already started just not getting the results they wanted so never reveal officially on media. Villages are small objectives in comparison to taking over an entire city for instance. Russia has also started to counter offensives back to recover lost villages I am not sure but should be part of a bigger plan to take more lands I guess.
