Woman complains Scoot refused to check in family of 5 over 1 passport validity -
theold - 11-07-2023
Update:
Correction: An earlier version of this article incorrectly stated that the entire family of eight were refused check-in. Strictly speaking, only five were.
The article is written wrongly.
Should be, some can check in.
Child with accompanying adult.

This such a strange story.
If I bought 2 tickets on scoot to travel with my friend and he last minute back out, don't tell me I also cannot go alone. It makes no sense at all.
But many such stories are one sides told by the complainant...the airlines should have an explanation or they will have to apologise.
Below seems to tell us 3 passengers were treated different from the other 5 why is this so. Therr has to be a logical explanation.

The woman Lin wants to travel but refused to follow the International Law. She does not know that passports must have 6 mths validity? One passport only has 1 mth validity, even if that person can fly will be deported in Macau. I am very sure she has never travelled before like some country bumpkin.

Why the news not reporting as “family fails to check validity of passport prior to departure causing unnecessary work to airline and ICA”? Such irresponsible behavior should not make it to the news as if airline is wrong.
