Is will not show passport the same as custom officer will not chop or stamp on the passport for exit??

Sure or not. Recently when I returned to sg at Changi airport, the camera at one of the autogate couldn't recognise my face. I didn't do plastic surgery or anything. It only worked when I used another autogate.
