Earlier this week, PM Lee Hsien Loong announced that Transport Minister S Iswaran’s salary was cut to S$8,500 as he takes a Leave of Absence amid a CPIB probe.

to be honest EVEN CEO in some private sectors don't even earn this much per month.

If it's pay for PR, it is very bad cos the money did not go to govt but ended up in individual accounts... If it further involves with biz deals, it can go as far as selling secrets...
