WASHINGTON DC, KOMPAS.com - The arrest of Imran Khan is an internal matter of Pakistan, a spokesperson for the United States (US) State Department said on Monday (7/8/2023), refusing to take a stand on the legal issues that befell the former prime minister who often criticized by the US.
Khan initially alleged that his ouster from office in a parliamentary vote last year was backed by Washington and orchestrated by Pakistan's top generals. Washington and the military dispute this.
