Why our PAP MP or minister can't answer questions on the spot.
Why...look like very jumpy when public start asking questions on the spot. Plus their PA faster faster jump out to block a bullet for them.
Why need a script to answer?
Can't answer queries on the spot ?
Look like phony office holder leh

Not like Nehs.
You ask anything, they will go on till you shut them up.
In the end, no answer.

I find it perplexing that most Ministers and MPs who are often touted as the academic elite and brightest brains in S'pore, struggle with spontaneous speech and natural intonation. Despite lacking a prestigious Govt scholarship or overseas tertiary education, many S'poreans manage to speak eloquently and possess the ability to present ideas effectively without relying on scripts. It is particularly puzzling that many of our ruling party politicians, when asked questions at public forums or events, require prompts. Surely, one who is supposedly the cream of the crop of local talent, should be able to address the concerns of their own residents/citizens without the need for external assistance by their personal assistants and corp comms subordinates.

Many Indians have developed the art of distraction. It is the oldest trick in the book to confuse when they are unable to convince.

The answer is simple. If one failed to analyse or know not what they hv done, they won't be able to answer these issues. This shows they are poor in tackling the Oppositions. When he failed to answer proper questions, he wil jumps around the bush, or their comrade wil popped in to be a saviour. Also, been asked a A question wil comes with answer B. Those pappies simply lacks homework.

Now then you notice. Even minstar also like that…

Even though polling-day procedures are generally free of irregularities, there are numerous structural factors that favour the ruling party and impede viable electoral competition.

Been kiasu and kiasi mindset, they wil any how draw electoral boundaries to their advantage. Just to win, they can stoop very low to such tactics.

In view of the obscene salaries on offer to carry out public administration, our politicians will do everything possible to remain in office (including fixing up the Opposition). I wouldn't put anything past them. Politics is a dirty game, and they don't come any dirtier than ..............

Rote learning is most effective when the primary goal is to memorise and recall specific information such as dates, facts or figures. S'pore's educational system rewards those who are good at rote learning - like our Govt scholars.

I assure you they have the intelligence to respond appropriately and timely. The key reason is that they have to clear it with their boss, the yes man symptom, therefore to maintain their golden rice bowl is at stake.

This is good example of how money politics encourages groupthink and compliance. Every minister doesn't dare to speak up in case he gets reprimanded for speaking the truth. When a politician is paid an obscene wage, he must clear it with his boss in case the truth proves to be "inconvenient" to the party, and cost him to lose his iron rice bowl.

Highly educated politicians possessing knowledge, may lack wisdom - the ability to distinguish between the right and wrong things to say and do.

A lie been covered up by every single one will make it more truthful of a lie.

There is a psychological phenomenon known as the illusory truth effect that repeated exposure to a false statement makes it seem more believable over time. This is because our brains tend to associate familiarity with truth.

It is obviously right in this perspective.
