the situations in singapore is quite bad. singapore try to be neutral in the usa/china fight.
we are just small tiny island both side also cannot offen.
but look at what happens to country that is not on us side. regime changed has happened in a few places.
we must always be on out guard.
if from president , pm, fm all chinese those with motive will say, look all chinese pro china.
so if president is indian, then at least top can talk to india and many us mnc that is chair or ceo indian, even uk current pm is indian. so that image wise we can be seen more neutral. by the way, my view is china is not the problem, neither is usa. it is those people who has an interest in making war to keep producing problems and using their influence to make others agree.
being neutral is not easy and in a very difficult positions. many neutral got hit along the way.
It's inevitable that China will overtake USA, whether you like it or not, whether the President is Indian or Chinese or Malay, does not put Sinkiepoor in any more secure a position
Those in power across the various countries have specialists studying each country, spying on each other
If they perceive Sinkiepoor is swaying to India's side, we will become a laughing stock to our neighbours
Everyone knows India has a load of sheet and its political structure has always been weak
Today, you establish trade with the govt, next day, it gets ousted, very common
They can't even resolve their toilet issue
And Sinkiepoor invest with them and allow CECA, these are all very wrong moves
We must NOT have an Indian President in race, because it will send all the wrong signals and we benefit nothing much out of alienating ourselves with China
Our immediate neighbours Malaysia and Indonesia are both China-centric, not India-centric and the reason is very obvious
Only China can bring lasting peace to this region and the SCS
