45% of EV sales are BYD models. Big Grin

From 786 units registered in 2022, the Chinese brand has put 2,184 units on the road in the first five months of 2024, accounting for 45%  of all electric cars registered in the period.  The total number of electric cars in Singapore has grown from 6,531 units at the end of 2022 to 16,738 units May 31 this year. One reason for this, automotive consultant Say Kwee Neng said, is the expanded pool of EV models now available, with more slated for launch in 2024, including Xpeng and Zeekr, which is owned by Geely, one of the largest automotive companies and behind established brands like Lotus, Polestar and Volvo.
