Vast water and electricity cuts in eastern Ukraine, Kyiv accuses Moscow

For Volodomyr Zelensky, there is no doubt. The power cuts that affected entire swathes of eastern Ukraine this Sunday evening are the work of Russia.

"A total power outage in the Kharkiv and Donetsk regions, a partial one in the Zaporizhia, Dnipropetrovsk and Sumy regions," wrote the Ukrainian head of state in a statement released on social media on Sunday, blaming the “Russian terrorists”.
