According to the Khmer Times , Prime Minister Hun Sen said the King will order the appointment of a new prime minister on August 7.

Talking about his future, Mr. Hun Sen outlined his post-leadership plans. He stressed: "I will hold the position of chairman of the ruling party and remain a member of parliament. Moreover, when I left the cabinet, the King offered to appoint me as head of the Advisory Council. Royal".
