Australia Govt could have followed Singapore and built HDBs to house 85% Aussies.
No worries as HDB px will eventually plummeted to zero

Why are there so many "elderly " homeless in Singapore?
"It states that “Since last Thursday (Jan 4), the restaurant owner has been giving out blankets to those sleeping on the streets, mainly in mature estates such as Tiong Bahru, Redhill and Toa Payoh.
He estimated that he has given out more than 100 blankets so far. They cost around $10 per piece."

Old news? Things are getting worse now due to rental hike and shortage of rental properties and high interest rate of housing loan.

At least Australians have homes to sell. In S'pore, 80% of citizens do not own their homes; they only stay in pigeon holes leased from the govt which has hoodwinked them into believing that they actually own their HDB flats. LOL!

Even many employed Australians are now homeless, have to sleep in cars or in the streets.

There is hardly any assistance for young PMEs in Sg who are unemployed as well. Meanwhile, foreigners with questionable/fake qualifications are being admitted by the plane load.
