SAF need to special order a shorter Sword of Honour. The standard sword would touch the parade square and drag on the ground when he hangs it from his waist.       Big Grin

Good achievement. We may all like to make jokes at short people but it's precisely because of this that they need to work harder than everyone else.

Napoleon Bonaparte was perhaps the most successful General of the French revolutionary armies and regarded as 1 of history's greatest military leaders. He was also emperor of France from 1804 to 1815. At 1.58m, he is still a lot taller than this 1.46m SAF officer though.

During hand to hand combat, he cannot be faulted for hitting the enemy below the belt.

This 1.46m soldier has overcome all odds to become a SAF officer.

I want to know 2 things! How did he manage to do chin up? At 1.8m even I need to jump to grab the bar before I can proceed...so for him so short...it is impossible to reach that bar even if he tries his best!

Everyone knows what is SOC....so how is he able to clear the low wall with so many equipments?

Diego Maradona was 1.65m tall and often came up against opponents who were over 1.8m in height, but he is widely regarded as 1 of the greatest footballers of all time.

Actually Napoleon wasn't that short. Sources consequently estimate that Napoleon was probably closer to 5'6” or 5'7” (1.68 or 1.7 meters) than to 5'2”. Although the range may seem short by 21st-century standards, it was typical in the 19th century, when most Frenchmen stood between 5'2” and 5'6” (1.58 and 1.68 meters) tall.

It is the British's PIM (psych ops) that caricatured him as being short Big Grin

At that height, how did he become a regular in the army? Didn't the army have a minimum weight and height clearance? Slightly below the weight is normally accepted but not for height, I think!

It was Chief Supply Officer, Colonel Edwin Lee who waived the height requirement, thereby allowing Jeffrey Chue to become a supply officer.

Jeffrey Chue could qualify as a commando since he can sneak in and out of enemy territory unseen.
