OK, finally completed this drama last night. Great watch.
It won't be my top 10 ever TV series but should be top 5 or even top 3 for this year. Maybe even number 1 depending on my luck of choosing what to watch in the remaining days of this year.
The series spanned more than 20 years and is divided into 3 major periods: 2000, 2006, and 2021. There were some events that took place in 2014 and 2017 too and some 'minor' stuff (really nothing minor in this series as everything is required watching to know why something happened later) in some other years.
The main reason to watch this show? The acting, especially of the antagonist is top-notch. It is about how he started as a fishmonger and became chief of the underworld in the city.
The plot is mostly realistic and good. Good props and makeup too as it spans more than 20 years.
Next, I'll be watching a Japanese series that I wanted to watch for years and yet for some reason did not. It is the highly rated Japanese series ごめんね青春！(Regret from my school life) from 2014.
