One reason that stood out to me why India will never be the next big manufacturing powerhouse is that it does not have an ecosystem that ensures a smooth transition with minimal costs and disruptions from supply to export.

Also, India requires China to provide components to it for manufacturing. Just look at Apple which is only doing a final assembly job in India while relying on China to provide all the components. Same for its generic drug manufacturing.

First challenge is to build enough toilets and keep them clean. But dun think they cud do it forever
