Eating out at Hawker Centers or Coffee Shop has 7 Risks and EXpensive

Now got so many kitchen gadgets, so cook simple dinner at home is better

This is a packet of $4 dry bak chor mee from Ghim Moh Hawker Centre. I was gobsmacked when I arrived home.

Tried targeting the cost below $2.50 but failed.

Cut corners then might as well eat at home

It is the old elderly that gets cut throat by coffee shop

Because PAP cannot protect the old and vulnerable

I cook my own fried rice with tiger prawn is around $2.75 ( exclude electricity)

I am wondering if CNY home meal can be $2.50

Egg fried with prawns= 21 cents + 20 cents

Japanese hot pot soup= $2.90

Everything that is on offer, buy and cook for CNY

Prawns, hgoh heong, japanese pork soup, pork kee frozen pork . . . 

Without promotion, CNY lunch/ pax  will surely be at least $8 at home

Mince Pork $1.50

Fried Squid 50 cents

Korean Seaweed 60 cents

Rose Brand Chicken 4 pieces= $2.92 ( From SS)

Cabbage with Tofu puff= $0.30

Rice and toppings= $0.30

Sis, your plating is beri appealing and appetising. Many forummers got post pics of their cooking b4, think no one got arrange as artful as yours [some of their food like those dumped in bins, no need to name siah... ]. Good job yah.

Ideally, in old age, you should eat better.

But it's ideal. I know not everybody is born with a lucky star.

Prawns+ snow peas + carrot (from small shops )= $1.60
