The sad story ...is a Singaporean tragedy  

NSF who died was preparing to go to medical school

The people he was trying to save were poor people living in 2 rm rental with 7 people inside.

I didn't pay much attention to these details after hearing about the case.

But it highlights the 2 worlds that met in this tragedy.

1. I have served the nation in a combat unit for 2.5 + 10 years. I had fulfilled my duty as a citizen, but has the country do it's part for me?
2. I don't know where the threat of CCP is, but I know the threat of CECA is already at my doorsteps
3. I had been called a CCP, JHK, Pinoy, but they never called me a CECA..

in NS, it is difficult to get MC even if you are unwell.

young guys die suddenly are due to underlying medical condition

With his A levels he can easily become a sgt or ocifer in army. There is no point to study so hard to risk your life to fight fire

Now too many A level men.
They are different from our generation.
Mostly are thinking soldiers/fire fighters.

He had made a poor judgement this round.
