Horse racing take up too much land and manpower when all punters need is just the result. Hence SPools is much more efficient so my gut feel is govt want to merge STC IT into SPools IT so only need maintain one IT department. Toto,4D,Big Sweep,Soccer,Horse all is betting use IT to collect the monies. When I work there during the 2000's the rumors of this has been going on. That time I work STC CEO is a tall thin male guy not now newspaper say is a female lady.

Reason is horse result can be manipulated as the jockey on top of the horse can pull it back to prevent it from running first or second etc. Hence the horse owner can bet on the number on horse back and win monies from lottery. It is good lottery result switch to use machine. Horse racing not easy besides trim grass ppl, feed horse ppl, horse hospital ppl, horse lab ppl and also got "judges" on the actual racing day to check if jockey got pull back horse or add weight on body to make the horse harder to run etc. All these are manpower cost very expensive!

Horsekeeper ... go switch to zoo or reskill to bird park

Biggest loser are illegal bookie, but illegal bookie more resilient, they will switch other horse racing site
