China actually welcome IPEF now. Becos they already in placed the CPTPP.
The powerful clause in CPTPP is that there is no more escalation of court appeal when there is conflict arises if any party still not happy with the verdict. Unlike, WTO, still can appeal. This will take longer time to settle 1 conflict. Very low efficiency.
India is a big wild card. May take time long time to discuss with them.

Forget about CPTPP, despite of Japan’s effort to push for it, Biden is not interested, so it is now dead.
IPEF is not like CPTPP, it is not a trade organisation but a U.S. led forum to group countries in Indo-Pacific together like NATO to fight against China’s influence and contain China’s uprise under the outfit of trade, not much relevant to trade and benefits in trading. The US will not allow China to join.
