As of 4 September 2021, 12pm, the Ministry of Health (MOH) has preliminarily confirmed 253 new cases of locally transmitted COVID-19 infection.
2. 84 are linked to previous cases, and have already been placed on quarantine. 53 are linked to previous cases and were detected through surveillance. 116 are currently unlinked. Amongst the cases are 2 seniors above 70 years who are unvaccinated/ partially vaccinated, and are at risk of serious illness.
3. In addition, there are 6 imported cases, who have already been placed on Stay-Home Notice (SHN) or isolated upon arrival in Singapore. 4 were detected upon arrival in Singapore, while 2 developed the illness during SHN or isolation.
4. In total, there are 259 new cases of COVID-19 infection in Singapore today.

When overseas' experts said the vaccines could last for 1 year, some experts here said they were very confident, lucky, and believed that they had chosen vaccines that can last from 15 to 18 months even with the variants of concern. Now, the former said the vaccines wane within 6 months. We have to adjust again. The narrations changed to you fall sick and cannot fall seriously sick, we also have to adjust again.

Out of the 19 seriously ill, 11 are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated.
Small comfort for the 8 that are fully vaccinated.
