Contrary to what you just mentioned, the older High SES Sinkies resent the Pappies for all the direct and indirect taxation that they are paying. It is the senior hoi polloi from the HDB heartlands who will vote for the MIW because of all the freebies they have been receiving and will receive during this election year. They and the new SG citizens from CECA land will make up the 55% who will return the Pappies to power.

Because other countries do Not have FREE & EASY Work Pass like PAP
