NASA: "Difficult" to make a new attempt to launch its massive Moon rocket in October
#1

After the hurricane has passed by, NASA will have to take the time to change the batteries of the rocket's self-destruct system, a complex operation that will be carried out in the storage hangar.

Raising the 98-meter-high (320 foot) rocket and transporting it to its launch pad, before configuring it for takeoff, will also take days.

The latest setback will therefore significantly postpone the launch of the long-awaited Artemis 1 mission.

Two launch attempts had already been aborted at the last minute, at the end of August and then at the beginning of September, due to technical problems, including a leak when filling the rocket's tanks with fuel.

Strangely NASA has been around for decades and it's not even running fast enough to catch up with China??

The rule of all games has always been first to conquer. Once USA is not in front the rule has to be switched to "let USA win" or "only USA can be champion"? Lol

NASA Administrator Bill Nelson has said that China continues to display a lack of transparency and willingness to cooperate with the United States and other countries in space. "We want cooperation that has not been forthcoming from the Chinese government (but) it takes two to tango," Nelson told a press conference at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. "We simply haven't had any transparency from the Chinese."

The Wolf Amendment is a law passed by the United States Congress in 2011 that prohibits the United States National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) from using government funds to engage in direct, bilateral cooperation with the Chinese government and China-affiliated organizations from its activities without explicit authorization from the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the U.S. Congress. It has been inserted annually into appropriations bills since then.

In May 1999, the Report of the Select Committee on U.S. National Security and Military/Commercial Concerns with the People's Republic of China was made public. It alleged that technical information provided by American commercial satellite manufacturers to China in connection with satellite launches could have been used to improve Chinese intercontinental ballistic missile technology.

In 2010, Rep. John Culberson urged President Barack Obama not to allow further contact between NASA and the China National Space Administration (CNSA).

In April 2011, the 112th United States Congress banned NASA from engaging in bilateral agreements and coordination with China.

In 2013, officials at NASA Ames prohibited Chinese nationals from attending Kepler Science Conference II.
