I used to eat from this fried hokkien mee stall at Bukit Batok which kept increasing its prices. It is now $5, $7 and $9 per plate, but to my utter disgust, the $5 portion contains no prawns, pork or sotong. It should be renamed "fried hokkien mee kosong".

I ordered the $5 plate as I was eating alone, but did not expect that it would be fried hokkien mee kosong because the image at the stall clearly showed a plate of mee with prawns, pork and sotong!

they use expensive fish - EMPURAU as soup base.
