Should be a very good buy for those into fish farming as it is going to be sold at just a fraction of the cost. Dunno the real reason for it to go horlan but as far as I can see fish and seafood are thriving and evergreen businesses as fish and sea food sold at markets are so high and the population is heading for 10 million unless oppies go on riot.        Big Grin .

singapore labour very expensive. water very expensive.
electricity loaded with expensive network cost.
how to do for long grow time of 6 months to 2 years.

better go indonesia to grow fish until market size then tranpsport to the farm and grow for 1 month to throw out all the mud maybe still can. lida 1 month turn over. maybe can make money

Quote:According to media reports in 2021, the company aimed to farm hybrid grouper and coral trout on the first three storeys of its Lim Chu Kang facility, with an expected output of up to 1,000 tonnes of fish a year from 2021, before scaling up to 2,700 tonnes by 2023.

I've tried the hybrid grouper b4. Slightly cheaper dan red grouper but the flesh is blah. Dunno izit bcos of the feed and farming method or the fish hybrid is naturally muddy tasting. Like the sea bass aka barramundi from Singapore has no taste while those farmed in kelongs overseas [Thailand and Australia] taste great. Stick to the real grouper yah.

HPC gets a good deal. 3.5M for 70% of a building that costs 65M to build is a steal.

With lower investment costs, maybe the fish tonnage goal is possible, just later.

Sgtalk forumers are smarter than Temasek CEO.
8 storey fish farm?
Commonsense will tell it won't work.
$65 million down the drain.

Maybe not optimally designed for fish. Try chickens or eggs?
