Note that "largest" here does not mean number of stations (New York tops with 472 if interchange station is counted as a single station and not separate stations based on lines) nor length of tracks (Corrected with Seoul, Beijing and then Shanghai) nor the number of passengers annually (Shanghai busiest annually. Corrected from Tokyo earlier) etc. Not sure what the criteria is. Maybe the AREA COVERED?

I would have expected Shenzhen metro to be here as it has 555.43 km of tracks but apparently the above article has a different criteria.

Just found out that Chongqing Rail Transit has 528.68km of tracks. If length of track is the criteria, it will also be a top 10 largest metro in the world.

Also found out that Chengdu Metro has the fifth longest metro system in the world with 561.7km of tracks (wikipedia stated as fourth).

Top 10 metro stations in the world by length of tracks (note that China's tracks keep increasing so it's hard to keep track):

- Seoul - 1,302km (a much bigger figure than in the linked report)
- Beijing - 836km
- Shanghai - 826km
- Guangzhou - 652.81km
- Chengdu - 561.7km
- Shenzhen - 554.43km
- Chongqing - 523.7km
- Nanjing - 521km
- Hangzhou - 516.2km
- Moscow - 514.5km

London, New York, Wuhan, Tokyo, Delhi will not make the list based on this criteria.
