Years after his divorce, a retiree felt so resentful that he engraved on a knife the dates of his former wife's alleged dalliances before ambushing her at a carpark at the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) College Central campus.

Seet was convicted of a reduced murder charge yesterday.

The High Court heard that Seet stabbed himself repeatedly with the same knife after attacking Ms Low at the carpark of the Ang Mo Kio campus.

Ability to let go and move away from bad experience is important.

A purely unemotional person can easily let go and move ahead.

There was a previous case of Singaporean man who went to US. He wife started seeing another man and wanted divorce, he killed the man and now in jail. .....in the end he cannot let go and destroyed 2 lives. His own and the man he killed. It is illogical and makes no sense.he was a successful engineer who drove a Mercedes now he is thrown in jail for 26yrs. He could have moved on find someone else and lead a successful life....but he could not get out of his emotional trap.....

Such emotional traps be it demotivating, jealousy, addiction or self limitation can trap and lock a person in a vicious cycle.

tragedy all around…caused by heavy bias against men in Singapore..

His extreme actions showed how much pain he went thru. To go to the extend of engraving the dates on the knives just show how resentful he was at that point of killing. His wife’s affair, his hard-earned money gone and his precious daughter being taken away from him in his 60s(all at retirement age).i think it’s just as good as his world had instantly crashed. How many can really empathise and feel what he was feeling?!
This is a very tragic case. I’m not saying it’s right to murder someone but No one would resort to such extreme act for no apparent reason. ☹️☹️
