A URA order to erase a lit cigarette from a Chinatown mural has sparked discussion online about public complaints and the censorship of street art.
The agency had told the landlord that the mural is “not aligned with Singapore’s anti-smoking policy stance”.

Very strange leh. This whole episode would not have happened if Shepherd Asset has applied for approval from URA as required before having the mural drawn.
They finally applied for approval AFTER the mural was up and was asked to erase it. They refused to reapply for approval later. Anyone know what is this Shepherd Asset all about?
