A man has sued the Debate Association (Singapore) over his son's suicide, saying its "wrongful" actions caused the death.

Mr Lucas Li fell to his death a day after the association announced that he was "permanently banned" from its events due to inappropriate behaviour. https://str.sg/wjKG

How to debate when you are not informed of  the topic ?
Parents say that he wasn't even aware , and wasn't given a chance to defend himself.

Imo, the association crossed the line by publicising the details of the allegations.

No need to say anything more, the association is wrong

It is not the police, even police will investigate and when found sufficiently clearly an offence is committed, it will still hv to officially charge the person and read the charges to him in a court of law

Here, the association is nailing the coffin and making it public the allegations and ownself say it is severe, just like PAP, ownself say, ownself shiok

And the one most culpable is their president Cherylyn Wee

Negligent as well as insensitive and mismanagement of the investigations and the follow up

So what an independent audit was involved

It is just plain wrong
