It takes many steps to reach something. Some of the scientific discoveries, especially in the maths arena, is quite fascinating because they might not look very useful at that time but some time later become very important.

We are benefiting from science, even if we cannot see it. E.g. from quantum theory, there are implications on computing power and materials engineering.

There is a meme floating around about how someone has never used Pythagoras theorem after they left school but that was because they didn't have the intellectual capacity to build on what they were taught, not because the knowledge is useless.

Meaning the true nature of 'particles' are just wave functions lor.
Everything is invisible wave functions (including all properties) until which ever property needs to be manifested during a 'collapse'/observation/detection.
