Wow a similar incident almost took place in Taiwan two days ago but the student did not hurt the teacher.

He was stopped by the police after someone notice he was holding the pen knife in classroom while the teacher was having a conversation with the student at close range. And someone had call in the authority.

The student was later taken to the station for questioning and was later sent to have a psychiatrist for further evaluation.
