AUS: PM sticks with reopening plan despite worsening outbreaks

Scott Morrison says returning to zero COVID-19 cases is “highly unlikely” and has rejected premiers’ alarm over the prospect of opening up when infection rates remain high.

But the independent modeller advising state and federal leaders says work done for national cabinet was not predicated on there being a large number of cases in the community and updated modelling would be provided.
