Russia's government has repeatedly denied the legitimacy of Ukraine's government, calling it a US puppet.

On the night of May 3, two unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) attacked the Moscow Kremlin, the working residence of the Russian president. Russian authorities officially confirmed this only in the middle of the day, blaming the incident on Ukrainian special services. Vladimir Putin's administration said the drones had been destroyed, but did not explain how exactly they reached central Moscow.
