That was not the case many years ago. Half my class were not rich people. Then slowly it became a rich man's school because the school fees became exorbitant after they went independent. The school fee after independence was $200 per month. Now dunno how much.

Don't get fool by that. Really is Heng bring in CECA ? on paper he is the one sign but We have to think in depth, every country decision is been plan by some one at the highest level of course.

End of the day is PM approve and think of it. Maybe is not heng is Tharman behind suggest and Heng just take over the tasks to do as " frontline " do the talks , sign the agreement.

Needless to say, many of them aim to be doctors or lawyers. It's no longer about interest, it's about which profession earns you the most. That's something unheard of during my time.

School fees is not a problem for them as most of them have very high PSLE score that qualify them for scholarship award. Only those who entered by the back door suffer.

My bro went RI but got almost $200/month reduction in school fees scholarship so not more expensive than other schools...

And $200,is nothing actually...my relative send children to better kindergarten is $2000+ per month hor....

Those low income families also qualify for financial assistance from the school. The school fees were reduced by another $80 during the year 2009. These students only pay about $20+
