I could have communicated better to the motorcyclist, as well as not outright challenge the SAAB driver on the road. I had a guilty conscience that I indirectly caused the accident.

The Mercedes driver knows what is coming to him and the Saab driver, so he is trying to justify his actions. Only a naive judge will buy this driver's version of what transpired.

Yesterday at a zebra crossing a Merc driver nearly run over a lady with her two kids in stroller. I sounded the horn and flash but instead the lady thinks I was an ass trying to stop her from crossing...

At times I wonder if I should be so conscious or I should just mind my own biz...

By accelerating he almost cause the black car to knock down the motorcycle. Why he cannot just slow down to let the black one pass?

Reminds me of the evil red cabby who accelerated when he saw me crossing the road to the bus stop. I could have crossed comfortably if he just maintained the same speed. Instead, I had to made a run. I then showed him the middle finger... the jerk actually gostan his cab to confront me but I walked out of his sight. I hope he got his karma.

on the note of crossing the road while waiting for the green man to appear-high time authorities to impose heavy fines for those who keep looking at their phones not paying attention to the situation. I recalled many years ago I crossed the pedestrian crossing at Newton Hawker centre, a young father with a pram just followed whoever was crossing the road in front of him. The guy in front didn't wait for the green man to appear, he just wanted to dash across, and the young father just followed. I shouted at him to stop!

If the Saab driver wanted to speed, he should remain at the first/fast lane. Why did he try to move back to the second/slow lane? That was because he felt that the motorcyclist ahead was slowing him down. If you have no skill in overtaking, just keep to your lane.

This happened to me between Paragon and Mount Elizabeth Hospital when I honked lightly when an elderly woman and her maid hesitated to use the zebra crossing. A man who stood beside them showed me the centre finger as he thought I was preventing them from using the zebra crossing when I actually slowed to a halt to indicate that they may cross over safely.

I have always driven within the speed limit and keep a safe distance at all times. This is why I have never been issued a fine for speeding, dangerous driving or illegal parking. To date, I have never been involved in a motor accident as well. I hope to keep my driving record unblemished.

To horn at pedestrian is to alert them to be careful. But, these sort of people are really dumb in mistaking that horning is like reprimanding them. Really hopeless.
