Then why don't China claim back Okinawa..............?

Okinawa was Riukiu (琉球) and was subordinated to Qing Dynasty. Riukiu sent an official to request Qing to help for Riukiu but Qing was too occupied with 8-nation attack and couldn't spare any time for Riukiu. The Official was in China for 5 years and failed to secure any help from Qing dynasty. The official wrote a famous poem to express his disappointment and cut his throat to die in front of Qing Court to show his responsibility for the failure to secure help.     

Japan, the aggressor, annexed Riukiu to rename Okinawa.

Riukiu, though subordinated to Qing but was not regarded as  part of China.   

Unlike Taiwan, which is a part of China. If not, how can Chiang Kai Shek move to Taiwan after loosing the battle with Communist Party of China.  

So, China is not greedy in taking it as part of China. But China can support Riukiu for it's independent attempt.
