Seven US-Backed Troops Killed in Drone Attack in Syria

Seven members of the Kurdish-led special forces, Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), were killed as a result of a drone attack on a United States (US) base in eastern Syria, Sunday (4/2/2024) evening.

The attack on the Al-Omar oil field, the largest US-led coalition base in the country, also injured 18 people.

The US-backed SDF, which is spearheading the fight against the ISIS group in Syria, stated that a number of its members were killed due to terrorist attacks using one-way drones.
