Anyone Here Ever Had Inguinal (Groin) Hernia Surgery ?...............indirect type................

if yes, are there any non-mesh surgery options in S'pore ?......................

did you have any complications ?................can provide details of surgery and recovery ?

operated two years ago, at sgh
day surgery, pain few days, should not carry heavy weight at least 4 months
low impact exercise, like walking or swimming helps to heal

Donkey yrs ago, after too much exercise, i had hernia in the abdomen area...rushed to Mt eliz n operated immediately....just put a mesh over the torn area...n go home.
My friend last time lived in kiwi for 10 yrs rushed back to changi hospital for urgent hernia ops ...played too much of bedminton...he was asked to wait for 6 months for his turn in a govt hospital ..he wud die by then n sing saved his life .
Now back here for good ...n luckily he did not give up his citizenshio..smart fella

wah, so rich ah.................can go Mt Elizabeth ah...................so was it a direct or indirect GROIN hernia ?.................was it an open or laparoscopic surgery ?

did the plastic mesh give you any trouble since ?...............i've read a lot about the mesh so terrified.....................took how long to get over the pain

lastly, any problems with painkillers giving you constipation ?

i 1st had my hernia in late 2019...............so was it a direct or indirect GROIN hernia ?.................

i reckon i'll go to SGH too if i find the guts for the surgery...............was your repair an open or laparoscopic surgery ?

did the plastic mesh give you any trouble since ?...............i've read a lot about the mesh so terrified.....................took how long to get over the pain

lastly, any problems with painkillers giving you constipation ?

Mine done 3 decades ago, will die with the small piece mesh...touch wood ,so far no problem
A small cut just above groin , 2/3 hrs job by experienced specialist .
U pay for the quality, service n professionalism..our life is concerned, any ops is risky. N yr mind is at ease.
Luckily i ve meducal insurance to cover half of it.
