For travelling it may be worse to wear these shoes. Imagine if they opened up during your trip, it'll be quite a hassle to buy them. It happened to me on my china trip this year and it's very difficult to buy a pair of shoes there.

As there is usually a lot of walking when I travel, I always make it a point to wear comfortable shoes from reputable brands. I also refuse to wear brand new or old shoes for fear of blisters and the soles coming apart respectively.

Ah, the 上下九路. Maybe I long time never go liao, but use to have many clothing and accessories shops. However don’t expect cheap prices, these are good quality China brands.

Anyway I am more curious than just hunting for low prices cheap goods. I own Nike, Asics, New Balance before.  
When j switch to Decathlon I find they give best value for money. Same amount j spend on Nike, I can get a better one at Decathlon.

All these $2 ...$6 shoes all look so good in the picture even the design appears good with the correct support for running shoe and right type of foam for energy return.

If no good, I just use for trekking instead of running. But if good I discover something interesting.

I don't know how many SG Talkers are old enough to remember these black canvas shoes that were issued by the SAF to BMT recruits in the 1980s for PT? I was a recruit of the 1990s, so I did not get to wear these PT shoes which would have reduced the high arches of our recruits to flat feet in no time. LOL!
