I watched before at road side in Melbourne, it was so fast, less than 3 secs disappeared, never a fan of F1.

When they practised it was very noisy you could hear from 10 km away.

Saw so many Ang Mohs enjoying themselves in town.
Many are here for the F1...

Can see many enjoying alfresco dining in Chinatown...adding to the much needed vibes and liveliness which have been missing for a long while.

Not really a fan if watching on TV. Problem with F1 is there are very few overtakings relatively. Very boring.

Watching at the place of action is better but not because of the F1 race. More because it is a gathering with friends and we can TCSS while waiting for the cars to appear again after going through. Overall, it is not a very entertaining sport for viewers and spectators relative to other sports.

there was a turn of tides in 2005, when our FOUNDING father Mr. Lee Kuan Yew remarked (published in the Sunday Times) he regretted not having built a Formula One racing course as he believed that F1 would bring much global awareness and commercial benefits to Singapore.

In 2008, Singapore Tourism Board successfully bid the right to host not just another Grand Prix but it was THE FIRST night-time event in Formula One history. This first race was held at the new Marina Bay Street and this Circuit was the 15th round of the 2008 FIA Formula One World Championship. The timing of the night event could not be any better as it was broadcast live at a convenient time for European TV audiences. Singapore gained maximum international exposure.
