Trump is trying very hard to get USA into a recession and not a stagflation or depression. He knows that the bubbles are so huge that if left alone for it to blow up it will end up very badly. That's why he is doing all his strange moves that inevitably means taking away liquidity via tariffs and restrictions.

USD is dropping and foreign currency appreciating so as to prevent the sale of treasury IOUs they need to sustain their lifestyle.

Once he can effectively get USA into a controlled recession, he can lower interest rates and make USA more attractive a place for real investment instead of just gambling in the exchanges. He wants real growth and not just hot money flowing in and out of USA.

We just have to endure till 2026 mid term election to see if he can still wage the full power he has in this current govt.
