I was very surprised when I saw this. I thought only some US states banned or restricted abortion. Turns out, half of US states banned/restricted abortion.

And once you took out those non-supportive states (where abortion rights are not protected), the states that have ok access to abortion are in the minority.

Note that this only changed after June 2022 after Roe vs Wade was overturned by the Supreme Court.

Before that, the laws prevented states from banning or restricting abortion since 1973.
