After Australia increased immigration intake from 180k to 400k per year after COVID reopen, it has caused shortage of rental housing and pushed up rental, which  affects many Aussies who can’t afford expensive rental or are unable to find a place to live.

To resolve the crisis Australian government does a U-turn and cut immigration intake to half.
