grab will give 8k cash if drive 9 to10hrs for 7 days a week. but after cost $3k commission $1.8k
left with 3.2k only. so think again which is better. no annual leave no sick leave, no sat and sun off and no public holidays and long week end. no cpf. 13 months, no bonus. so $3.2 cash is far less then $2.5 a month.
grab is only platform there are other platform that pays better with lesser commision but then you get 10 % more also no use still lesser money, for each $ fare pat drivers pay 26% to grab. other platform only charge 10%+30c
tada only charge 3.4% transaction fee + 50cents credit card fee.

platform has little cost to the direct business of private hire. so they squeeze by giving low fare to gain market share at the cost of drivers. drivers should cancel if fare too low. one platform doing well is they muddy the waer by mixing low fare which high rate with high fare long distance wiht low rate. and occasionally over charged fare on no supply to balance it up for drivers.

go find a permanent job with growth prospect in wages, skill and career.
pdvl part time or stop gap can.

Perhaps public sector and MNCs, SME are struggling.

Also 3% of 5000, 3% of 2500 will only make the wage gap larger
as every year multiple effect grow bigger.
