The vote in the 193-member world body was 153 in favor, 10 against and 23 abstentions. The United States and Israel were joined in opposing the resolution by eight countries — Austria, Czechia, Guatemala, Liberia, Micronesia, Nauru, Papua New Guinea, Paraguay.

The support for a cease-fire resolution was higher than for an Oct. 27 resolution that called for a “humanitarian truce” leading to a cessation of hostilities, where the vote was 120-14 with 45 abstentions.

Becuz US all along surpass UN actually. Last time US attack Iraq UN do what? Also open mouth say say but US proceed as planned. US is dua lumpar no care about UN basically. With US backing, Israel getting bolder. Israel should soon install comfort women brothel to boost IDF morale and procure Palestinian women to service. To encourage the women to work should follow Japanese strategy. Issue food coupon to each IDF and then each IDF will go to seek release after finish then pass the food coupon to the women. If the women refuse to do then die of hunger lor then procure new batch in again. It is a very systematic strategy WW2 Jap has built to boost troops morale. IDF will soon follow if the war drag on.
