Bankruptcy of the city of Birmingham: British government will launch an investigation
#1

The British government announced on Tuesday that it was proposing the appointment of administrators and the upcoming launch of an investigation into the Birmingham bankruptcy.

The second largest city in the United Kingdom declared itself unable to meet its financial obligations in early September, blaming underfunding from the state and the economic situation.

John Cotton had mentioned an estimate from the federation of local authorities Sigoma, estimating that 26 of them could go bankrupt in the next two years.

Around twenty other communities could find themselves in the same situation in the next two years.
