If you look at the south China region used to have 2 ports now grown to 6(or8). Only when too many and each becomes less profitable then they stop...
If not for the pandemic, Indonesia lies at the curps of multi yr strong economic expansion. Cheap labor, vast geography, resources, ..and favorable demographics. While all along it has all these new tailwinds like better education, supply chain moving out of china, and improving infrastructure puts it in a very sweet spot.
