When Shou Chew answered that Congressman that Tik Tok practices Age Gating by viewing the videos made by a certain Tik Toker and matching his visual profile to his age as a form of verification of authenticity of age, immediately I call bullsheet on it
The only way to have real and reliable Age gating is to have KYC

But if talking about privacy and personal security issues, then the Telco will have its door thrown wide opened but this is the service it renders, data can be leaked and collected and only adherence to strict data protection laws will contain this to a small extent
