Why restrict yourself with one boat when you can have two?
This is very common among Malaysians who needs an escape route.
I remember GCT wanted to convert 500k PRs to citizenships but was not well received

Know of a family who kept renewing and after many yrs all migrated to another country. Son no need to serve, duno how they did it.

Two of my cousins' wife are PR for more than 20 years. No intention to apply for citizenship.

One of my friends' mother regretted not getting a citizenship here. She was diagnosed with cancer and need more than 100k for chemo.

this is very common.
the problem is that they will have problem applying PR again or coming back to Singapore on long term basis.

Another one is indo family. Kids gave up pr and went overseas, later came back to work and applied pr again. After many rounds of rejections finally got it.
